The central Data Protection department of Gauselmann Group recently took a proactive step in its efforts to enhance internal security by organizing a national data protection workshop at Schloss Benkhausen. This activity was tailored for 20 Data Protection Coordinators, aiming to update them on the latest developments in the field and foster unified approaches.
Companies worldwide are increasingly vulnerable to hacker attacks that can result in extensive damage, says Gauselmann, which is why in response to these ever-present threats the group places a high priority on data protection and security.
During the workshop, participants engaged in constructive dialogues encompassing various facets of data protection. Topics included the significance of transparency, fulfilling the duty to inform, and the application of artificial intelligence in the corporate context.
In addition, data security, Microsoft Office 365, and ESG data management were explored, alongside demonstrations of tools like Wave, DocuSign, and DeepL. To provide valuable insights and perspectives, the central Data Protection department invited both in-house and external experts to deliver keynote speeches.
Ludwig Beckmann, Chief Compliance Officer at the Gauselmann Group, explained: "The workshop offered the participants a valuable platform for sharing and expanding questions relating to data protection and once again highlighted the immense importance of data protection within the digital world as well as within the Gauselmann Group with its customers and players."
Beckmann emphasized that such recognition underscores the continual need for training and collaboration in this crucial domain.
