GGPoker announces new "poker survival reality show" Game of Gold

Online poker platform GGPoker has announced the launch of a new poker reality show titled Game of Gold, part of its Poker After Dark franchise. The new poker game series promises to combine high-stakes poker action with reality TV to offer a unique experience. Dubbed as the "first poker reality survival series," Game of Gold will be broadcast on the GGPoker.tv YouTube channel from November 8 to December 4.

The first episode of Game of Gold will be televised on Wednesday, November 8 at 12:00 UTC, with the second episode coming on Friday, November 10 at the same time. This exclusive series of the GGPoker’s Poker After Dark franchise will be aired each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through December 4.

The poker game formats and software features provider says that this kind of series of poker events is so unique that the audience is invited to ”witness poker history in the making.”

The Game of Gold reality show was filmed in Seoul, South Korea, and features experienced poker broadcaster Ali Nejad as the host, who will welcome the audience and the players in each of the 12 episodes including the finale on December 4.

Game of Gold will have 16 poker pro participants who will compete across a range of poker formats ranging from standard poker tournaments to Indian Poker games. Those who lose the game will be eliminated from the show. The end of the series will have one winner who will get a $456,000 prize.

The sixteen players competing for the prize money include Daniel Negreanu, Jason Koon, Fedor Holz, Kevin Martin, Kyna England, Josh Arieh, Daniel Cates, Lukas Robinson, Nikita Luther, Charlie Carrel, Johan 'YoH ViraL' Guilbert, Olga Iermolcheva, David Williams, Andy Tsai, Michael Soyza and Maria Ho.

Daniel Negreanu, GGPoker Global Ambassador, said: "Game of Gold takes all the best parts of traditional poker shows, adds some exciting new elements, and mixes them with reality TV to make something truly revolutionary.
