Connecticut Lottery names Fanatics as its exclusive mobile and retail sports betting provider

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) has announced Fanatics Betting and Gaming as its new sports betting partner in the state. The Fanatics Sportsbook will serve as the CLC’s exclusive sports betting provider for mobile and retail channels. The expected transition date is mid-December.

“Fanatics is the only true sports brand in the gaming space and has established itself as an innovator in the industry,” said Greg Smith, CLC President and CEO. “We have been impressed with the Fanatics team, and their aggressive entry into the US sports betting market, and we are excited to see how they redefine the sports betting customer experience here in Connecticut. CLC anticipates notable market share growth as a result of this partnership.”

Sports bettors in Connecticut will soon be able to download the Fanatics Sportsbook on iOS and Android to place wagers. Fanatics promises fast signup, easy betting, transparent withdrawals, live streaming, industry-leading search functionality, the ability to earn FanCash on their bets, and a curated Discover page as part of its partnership with the Connecticut Lottery Corporation.

The CLC's decision to choose Fanatics as its exclusive sports betting partner follows a request for proposals issued back in April. The sports betting contract is valid for eight years and includes an option for the CLC to extend the term for an additional five years.

Fanatics will now take the place of Rush Street Interactive (RSI), the Connecticut Lottery’s former sports betting partner. RSI and the Lottery announced that they would wind down their partnership back in March, with Rush Street Interactive committing to operate sports betting in the state until a replacement was found.
