MGA regulator cancels AMGO iGaming Malta's license over regulatory breaches

The Malta Gaming Authority has confirmed the cancellation of AMGO iGaming Malta Limited's license. The decision, effective from December 6, will require the company to notify its players of the cancellation via email and the company website.

Alongside the notification, AMGO iGaming Malta must include instructions on how players can withdraw funds from its platform, with guidance and assistance available to players throughout the process.   

Upon requesting a withdrawal of funds, the MGA has stated that AMGO iGaming Malta must "endeavor to remit all player funds standing to the credit of such players by not later than five (5) working days from the date upon which a player makes a request to this effect." 

The regulator had initially announced it would be terminating the license in October citing three separate breaches of Maltese gaming regulations by the company. This included failure to pay its licensing fee for the November 2022 – November 2023 period and a failure to pay its applicable compliance contribution fees to the Authority.  

The company operates several gaming brands globally and in 2019 purchased EveryMatrix’s B2C brand Jetbull for €2 million ($2.2 million).
