Fontainebleau Las Vegas has bid farewell to Michael Clifford, the Senior Vice President of Casino Operations, a Fontainebleau official confirmed to Las Vegas Review-Journal. Clifford's departure takes place just a few weeks after the resort's opening, which debuted mid-December.

While the Fontainebleau official acknowledged Clifford's exit, citing his departure from the company, no further details were provided regarding the circumstances surrounding the departure or any immediate plans for succession.

Clifford's tenure at Fontainebleau commenced in February, as outlined on his LinkedIn profile, signaling a relatively short-lived stint with the establishment. His earlier roles encompassed other positions within the gaming industry, including managerial roles at Resorts World Las Vegas, Wynn Palace in Macao, and various positions at MGM Resorts International.

The Fontainebleau Las Vegas, having just opened its doors on December 13, boasts a $3.7 billion complex, towering across 67 floors and housing 3,644 rooms.

At the heart of the property, the casino spans 1,300 slots and 128 table games, all nestled under a ceiling reaching 42 feet in height. Notably, the layout of the casino allows guests in adjoining retail areas and the second-floor food hall a bird's-eye view of the gaming floor.

In addition to its gaming options, the resort is positioned to attract visitors with 36 diverse food and beverage outlets. Among these are dining experiences featuring new-to-market names such as Mother Wolf and Papi Steak, curated for patrons from the East Coast and Southern California.
