With less than a month to go for ICE London’s farewell iteration, Yogonet spoke with Andrew Henson, Sales and Commercial Manager of Abbiati Casino Equipment, about the company's participation at the major event.
In this exclusive interview, Henson discusses the manufacturer's latest products and solutions that will be exhibited, and its planned efforts to build client relationships at the event. He also highlights how the company leverages state-of-the-art technology and the current environment of the gaming industry.
What will be the main novelties that your company will present and focus on at ICE London this year?
We will focus on our range of high-quality live table gaming equipment and consumable items, including various Roulette Wheels, Gaming Tables, and our range of Displays. We will also be showing our Table-Shield Products line, including Antimicrobial Layouts, and Card and Chips Sanitizing Machines.
We will be exhibiting our variety of Security Gaming Currency including RFID and various other security options. In conjunction with our partners, we will be demonstrating Multibet Terminals (GES), Dice Shakers (Tangiamo), CMS (Logismos), and Proprietary Table Games.
Given ICE London’s status as one of the major global events in the industry, what are your expectations for the expo, and what are the company’s key goals for the event?
For Abbiati, the ICE Gaming Show is a key part of our events calendar. As this is the last hosting of the event in London for the foreseeable future, we expect an excellent turnout combining a nostalgic perspective with high expectations for what the future holds. We hope to catch up with existing customers, and those who may be new to our state-of-the-art products and unique secure casino currency lines at Booth S8-230.
Our senior team will be present, alongside customer and technical support, to address any points raised, and hope to convert these discussions to close long-term client relationships and future sales.
How would you describe the industry's and your client's current demands at the time? What markets will you focus on at the expo?
Our approach remains very much as a worldwide manufacturer and supplier of high-quality live table gaming products, building to a VIP standard but able to address individual client standards/budgets with the same Abbiati design and quality.
We continue to promote our product portfolio to all relevant and accessible markets offering live table gaming, whether that be land-based, online, or maritime, remaining open to any new opportunities that may arise.
The event comes as we enter a new year for gambling. What is your assessment of how the sector developed in 2023, and what should we expect from it in 2024? What role will the company play in the upcoming 12-month period?
Given the current environment, there remains an element of caution towards any major investments, particularly in the European land-based sector. We hope that this eases in the near future but fortunately, other markets, particularly Asia, the Americas, and the Online sector, appear to offer more growth potential.
Abbiati will continue to pursue opportunities in all key markets, both with our existing product portfolio and new developments in the pipeline, and this will remain for the foreseeable future.
What other industry events does the company plan to attend this year?
Abbiati will continue to focus our attention on all key events in the industry calendar, particularly in markets where we have a strong or growing presence. The most notable in the months following ICE 2024 include G2E Asia, G2E Vegas, and BEGE.
