Sportsbet, an Australia-facing betting platform owned by Flutter Entertainment, has appointed Michael Foster as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). Foster steps into the role after having spent seven and a half years at Sportsbet in various capacities, including General Manager of Enterprise Technology and General Manager for Customer Experience Delivery.
Before joining Sportsbet, Foster worked at Sensis, a provider of advertising services, where he held several management positions. He served as Group Manager for IT Operations and led the classifieds online systems as IT Manager within the Sensis Classifieds business. Additionally, Foster gained experience at Infosys, a digital services and consulting company.
Foster took to LinkedIn to share his excitement about the new role. He described himself as "excited, thrilled, and privileged" to lead the technology capability at Sportsbet.
Foster said: “Sportsbet is an incredible organization to be a part of. The last seven years have been incredibly rewarding both personally and professionally. To now have the opportunity to lead our technology capability is honestly a dream come true.”
