Clarion Gaming has announced that Michel Groothuizen, the incoming chair of the Dutch regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), will be making the opening address on the Pulse Stage at iGB L!VE on 17th July. This year's event will run across four days from July 16 to July 19th at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre.

The appearance will be Groothuizen's first in front of an international iGaming audience following his appointment as Chair of the KSA, effective 1st July 2024. Clarion Gaming informs that Groothuizen joins a line-up of 40+ thought leaders and industry figures who will be at iGB L!VE, sharing their ideas and insights about the future of iGaming and the affiliate business.

Damien Ashton-Wellman, Content Lead for iGB L!VE said: "We're delighted to have secured the participation of Michel Groothuizen so early into his role at the helm of the Dutch regulator. I believe his appearance at iGB L!VE speaks volumes for the growing reputation that the brand enjoys for being the home of the iGaming community and the only global business event that connects leading iGaming affiliates, operators, tech vendors, game providers, and suppliers.

"An extremely experienced political and governmental operator, his career has come full circle since founding the KSA in 2012 whilst serving as policy director in the Ministry of Justice and Security. He takes charge at a busy time for the Dutch regulator which has been criticized by some in the industry for being 'heavy-handed' and 'unapproachable.' Having committed himself to what he has described as the 'wonderful challenge' of ensuring safer gambling, iGB L!VE attendees will be the first to learn how the KSA will address those challenges under his leadership."

Portfolio Director Naomi Barton

Portfolio Director Naomi Barton added: "iGB L!VE is the fastest growing iGaming event globally with registration for the 2024 edition tracking 100% ahead year-on-year. Part of the way that we invest in growth is to always consult with the market.

"Everything that we do is customer-driven and the creation of the Pulse Stage is the result of listening to our customers who told us what they want from an industry event to be able to connect with industry leaders, exchange ideas, and in the process gain a competitive edge."

The Pulse feature at iGB L!VE will deliver hours of insight and content built around four core themes: Markets and Convergence, Player Engagement, Building for the Future, and Protecting Your Business.

"Adding meaningful content that has been requested by stakeholders in order to help drive tangible business growth is a key component of the iGB L!VE experience and one that complements the unparalleled business opportunities generated by the 300+ exhibitors and sponsors who will be occupying 21,000+ square meters of gross space, a figure which is 35% higher than in 2023," noted Barton.

In the meantime, Clarion has also announced that it is advancing preparations for the migration of iGB L!VE to London in July 2025, establishing a roadmap of activities in partnership with the senior team at ExCeL London that will host the global event.
