Pearl River Resort and the Mississippi band of Choctaw Indians on Monday celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Silver Star Hotel & Casino, which first opened its doors on July 1, 1994.

To commemorate the occasion, the resort hosted Thursday its largest Fourth of July fireworks show and, for the first time, a drone show was also included. The shows started at 9:00 PM and could be watched from various spots across the grounds.

We are delighted to celebrate three decades of business at Pearl River Resort,” said Tribal Chief Cyrus Ben. “I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our day-one associates who started with us back in 1994. We are proud to have 62 of them still working with us today.

"I also want to thank all our associates for their dedication and hard work, and our guests for their loyalty and patronage. We look forward to many more years of success and growth.”

Pearl River Resort now includes five properties in Neshoba County: Silver Star, Bok Homas Casino, Golden Moon Hotel & Casino, Dancing Rabbit Inn, and Geyser Falls.

The Silverstar, the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indian’s first casino and the state’s first land-based casino, opened in 1994 in Neshoba County. Since then, the Choctaws have added new amenities including a second casino, a golf course, hotel, and a water park to the expansive development now known as the Pearl River Resort.

The month-long celebration will also include promotions and live concerts, which will be held in the Silver Star Convention Center. Supertalk detailed the music shows and promotions that are currently underway for the public.

On July 5, the casino will host Boyz II Men, who will perform popular hits like 'End of the Road,' 'On Bended Knee,' and 'Motownphilly.'

On July 6th, Big & Rich will join special guests Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy True to play their famous songs such as 'Comin’ to Your City,' 'Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy),' 'Redneck Woman,' and 'Fake ID.'

Both concerts will be held at the Silver Star Convention Center. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older to enter. Tickets can be purchased here.

With the 30th anniversary promotion, guests will have a chance to win a share of $30,000 in cash and bonus bet prizes. The promotion will take place on Friday, July 5, and Saturday, July 6, from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
