Miccosukee Casino & Resort has won the Miami New Times 2024 Readers’ Choice Award for Best Casino in Miami for the second year, following the 2023 Miami-Dade Favorites Gold Award for Best Casino.

“I am incredibly proud of our team’s accomplishments. This award is a clear testament to our hard work and dedication to continuous improvement,” said Brad Rhines, Miccosukee Casino & Resort General Manager.

"We have many exciting projects in the pipeline to elevate the entertainment experience for all our guests. This recognition is yet another milestone in our journey towards excellence.”

Miccosukee reopened its poker room in March 2023. Since then, six new venues have been launched, including new dining and entertainment options and the Little Trail Casino at the Miccosukee Service Plaza. The casino's seventh large-scale renovation project was unveiled on July 4.

In May, a new and exclusive smoking casino section was opened. The venue, located in the northwest corner of the property, is tailored for casino-goers who prefer to smoke while playing slots "in a comfortable and refined indoor ambiance" featuring 20-ft. tall ceilings.

According to officials, the new smoking section is equipped with a "state-of-the-art air filtration system" to ensure the comfort of smoking guests while preserving the air quality in the casino’s non-smoking areas.

The space includes 117 slot machines, a contemporary full bar with four 75-inch high-definition TVs, and eight bar-top slot machines. Additionally, new restrooms will be made available in the smoking section, as well as in the non-smoking corridor.
