Oregon's Three Rivers Casino Resort is commemorating its 20th anniversary. As part of the milestone, team members gathered for a roaring 20s celebration.
The casino is an entertainment destination established and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians. As one of the largest employers in the region, the property provides resources and employment opportunities.
Teresa Spangler, Director of Guest Services, who has worked with the casino since its inception and is also a member of the Confederated Tribes, said: "I feel like I have lifelong friends that are like family; this includes team members and guests. Our goal is to create an environment you want to work in, and we have a lot of different areas for our team members to find their passion."
Over the last two decades, the Three Rivers Foundation has awarded millions of dollars to hundreds of non-profits in Western Oregon, including those in healthcare, education, food security, and law enforcement. The foundation remains committed to its mission of community enrichment, economic growth, and cultural preservation.
"Three Rivers Casino is very welcoming and rewarding," said Jesse Gardner, Director of Facilities, a 20-year employee and tribal member. "Everyone is given the opportunity to grow. My responsibilities have empowered me to become a better person and director daily."
The casino is located among the rolling sand dunes of the Oregon coast, sitting on a 100-acre site, with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop. It features luxurious rooms, four restaurants, entertainment options, a casino, and more.
Three Rivers was initially opened as a casino-only facility in 2004, but its success led to the expansion of the facility into a full-service resort including the adjoining hotel in 2007.
Throughout its 20 years of operation, the company has earned accolades including the Blue Heron Hospitality Award for commitment to outstanding guest service and the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and the GreenLeader Gold-Level Award.
