The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP-C) is set to host a 12-tournament series at the City Centre Casino in Rosario, Argentina, from 17th to 25th October. The event will feature 12 WSOP Gold Ring tournaments, with the Main Event requiring a buy-in of $1,100.
For those looking to enter at a lower cost, GGPoker is facilitating satellite tournaments starting at $1, with the objective of making the Main Event accessible to a broader range of players and attracting competitors from various regions.
The tournament schedule includes several events leading up to the Main Event. On 17th October, the series will begin with a Monster Stack Mystery Bounty tournament, followed by various No-Limit Hold'em (NLH) events and qualifiers for the Main Event.
The Main Event itself will run from the 20th to the 25th of October, with multiple entry days and a progression to the final stages on the 24th and 25th of October.
In addition to the Main Event, the schedule features a High Roller tournament and other formats like the Uppercut KO Progressive and Turbo NLH.
The announcement follows GGPoker's parent company recently acquiring the WSOP brand from Caesars for $500 million. The deal comprises $250 million in cash and a $250 million promissory note due five years post-transaction. Despite the sale, Caesars retains the rights to host the annual WSOP live tournament in Las Vegas for the next 20 years.
