Brazilian sports betting and casino site Aposta Ganha has submitted its application for a license to operate within Brazil's newly regulated market.
The company completed its application through the Betting Management System (Sigap) under the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance. Aposta Ganha, which has been active in Brazil for six years, aims to officially launch its regulated operations on January 1, 2025, pending approval.
“These are strict security criteria, transparent and demanding responsibility, ensuring greater consumer protection and significantly contributing to the integrity of the market,” said Gustavo Henrique, Grupo Aposta Ganha's Legal Head. “This new phase fosters fair competition, and we are ready to follow all the procedures to obtain the license.”
Aposta Ganha, which operates in both Brazil and Mexico, noted it consistently complies with legal standards and has been a strong advocate of Responsible Gaming. The platform restricts access to users over the age of 18, aligning with legal requirements even before the latest ordinances from the SPA.
Elvis Lourenço, CEO of Grupo Aposta Ganha, emphasized the company’s commitment to integrity and responsible gaming. “We have built a trusted reputation in the gaming and entertainment market, in addition to respecting the current Brazilian legislation and integrity in betting. Today, we reinforce our commitment to customers and society to continue promoting entertainment that is ethical, safe, and socially responsible,” Lourenço stated.
