International Game Technology announced that its IGT Global Solutions Corporation subsidiary has signed a three-year primary instant ticket printing and related services contract with longtime partner Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML), Portugal's national lottery. The company noted that the contract was awarded following a competitive procurement.
Under the terms of the agreement, SCML will have access to IGT's instant ticket content and innovations portfolio, including top-performing games. IGT will also provide SCML with marketing services including game development and analytics.
"IGT's longtime partnership with SCML and extensive knowledge of the Portuguese market will enable us to work closely with the Lottery to offer world-class instant ticket games based on the local needs of its players," said Jay Gendron, IGT Chief Operating Officer, Global Lottery. "We are excited to deliver our diverse and innovative game content to the region, supporting continuous growth for SCML."

In addition to providing instant ticket games and services, IGT has been the primary lottery technology partner to SCML since 2000 and delivers retail central system hardware, software, terminal maintenance, and field services to the Lottery.
As a global lottery market leader, IGT is the primary technology provider to 26 of the 46 lotteries in the U.S., eight of the world's 10 largest lotteries, and 16 of the world's top 25 lotteries.
