Macau's tourism officials, casino operators launch new promotion for foreign tourists

The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has joined forces with gaming operators to launch experience-based promotions for international tourists, offering over 100 prizes to encourage visitation to Macau in the second half of 2024.

The ‘Experience Macao Limited Edition’ International Promotional Campaign, unveiled on Monday, features an interactive game with 100 mega prizes that can be bagged until 17th October this year.

The initiative aims to showcase Macau's cultural diversity and tourism experiences, MGTO in a press release stated. During the launch event, MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes invited participants to join the interactive game and enjoy an exclusive Macao tour.

Representatives from the gambling hub's six integrated resort operators (Galaxy, Melco, MGM, Sands, Wynn, and SJM), the campaign's main sponsors, also presented the prizes for the event.

"This exciting campaign invites travelers from around the globe to take part in a fun daily quiz for the chance to win one of 100 Experience Macao Limited Edition Prize. Each day, MGTO will present participants with 3 Macao-related questions, which they can answer by visiting ExperienceMacaoLimitedEdition.com. By doing so, they'll unlock a unique opportunity to discover Macao like never before," the MGTO explained.

"These prizes not only include round-trip tickets to Macao and accommodation but also exclusive experiences provided by Macao’s six major integrated resorts, such as intangible cultural heritage exploration, Michelin-starred dining, thrilling adventure activities, and leisure vacation experiences. If participants answer incorrectly, they can earn an extra chance by inviting friends or simply try again the next day," it added.

Those who answer all these questions correctly will be entered into a prize draw. All prizes will only be available until the end of the year, and all prize winners will be required to post their experiences on Instagram with the hashtag #MacaoLimitedEdition.

The campaign is conducted in the following three stages:

  • Stage 1: August 26 to September 4
  • Stage 2: September 16 to September 25
  • Stage 3: October 7 to October 17

The post creator who garners the most likes will be entitled to a grand prize: a 30-day immersive stay in Macau, including 'top-notch' offers such as round-trip plane tickets for two, hotel accommodation, and show tickets.
