Caesars Entertainment announced on Tuesday that it will install 53 sports betting kiosks at small businesses throughout Washington D.C. The kiosks will allow users to place wagers and make cash deposits to mobile accounts through Caesars Sportsbook.

This new venture is part of a partnership with the District’s Office of Lottery and Gaming (OLG), replacing kiosks previously operated by GambetDC.

Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital, emphasized the importance of the collaboration, stating: "We appreciate the Office of Lottery and Gaming for providing us the opportunity to further our connection with sports fans in our nation’s capital."

Hession highlighted the flexibility offered by the new kiosks, which cater to both users preferring traditional ticket-in-hand betting and those looking to deposit cash for mobile betting.

The announcement follows changes in Washington, D.C.'s sports betting landscape, including the decision not to renew GambetDC’s contract and the opening of the market to multiple operators.

While FanDuel was initially expected to take over the existing kiosks, a budget amendment allowed other companies to enter, with Caesars ultimately selected to operate the network of kiosks.

Caesars has maintained a presence in D.C. since 2021, when it opened the first sportsbook inside an American professional sports venue, Capital One Arena. The new kiosks mark an expansion of its operations, offering enhanced functionality and access to thousands of betting markets. Customers can also earn loyalty points through Caesars Rewards for every wager placed, whether through a kiosk, in-person, or on the mobile app.

Eugene Vlasenko, Interim Executive Director of OLG, expressed confidence in the partnership: “We are pleased to partner with Caesars, a key industry player. D.C. residents and visitors will soon have access to best-in-class sports wagering kiosks at retail locations across the city.”
