Global sports betting company bet365 has officially selected Denver as the site of its new U.S. headquarters, a move that is expected to create nearly 1,000 jobs. Announced on Monday by the Colorado Office of Economic Development and Governor Jared Polis, this is another step for the British-based company as it grows its presence in the American market.

bet365 has opened its new offices at One Platte on Platte Street, where it currently employs about 50 people. The company has ambitious plans for its U.S. expansion, with more than 300 new employees expected to join its Denver operations within the first year.

Positions will cover a wide range of functions, including technology, marketing, legal, and customer service.

Governor Polis expressed enthusiasm about bet365’s decision to settle in Colorado: “We are thrilled to welcome bet365 and nearly 1,000 jobs to Colorado and congratulate them on the grand opening of their new U.S. headquarters here. bet365 will create nearly 1,000 new good-paying jobs and as many as 300 this year that will help Coloradans earn a good living and support their families.”

The company’s expansion is supported by up to $14 million in performance-based job growth incentive tax credits, approved by the Colorado Economic Development Commission. These incentives, which will be available over an eight-year period, are contingent upon the company meeting specific job creation and salary targets.

Raymond H. Gonzales, President of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation, highlighted how the move would shape the region’s economic landscape.

“With the aid of OEDIT’s incentives investment, this project will not only create up to 1,000 high-quality jobs but also solidify Denver’s reputation as a hub for innovation and business. We look forward to the lasting impact this partnership will have on our community, driving both economic opportunity and vibrancy for Denver’s downtown for years to come,” he stated.

Gonzales added that this project would create long-term benefits for the community, bolstering the city's reputation for growth and opportunity. bet365, founded in 2000, operates globally and employs more than 7,000 people across its various locations.
