OKTO has launched its cash-to-digital payment solution, OKTO.CASH, with German iGaming operator Interwetten. According to the company, this strategic collaboration represents "a key milestone" for OKTO, expanding its presence in Germany and solidifying its role as a provider of cash-to-digital solutions for iGaming in Europe and beyond.
Following the Germany launch, further rollouts are planned across Europe. With OKTO.CASH, Interwetten customers can now easily and securely fund their iGaming accounts using cash, explains OKTO.
"Leveraging OKTO's extensive and continuously growing network of over 14,000 retail locations across Germany—including well-known chains like Avia, Esso, Lotto, OMV, Q1, Shell, Tamoil, and Westfalen — users can swiftly convert physical cash into digital funds," the company described in a press statement. "This seamless solution provides a fast, secure, and convenient top-up option, perfectly tailored to meet the preferences of the German market."
Commenting on the partnership, René Hartl, Head of Payment Operations at Interwetten, said: "Our collaboration with OKTO highlights our commitment to providing innovative, user-friendly payment solutions. With OKTO.CASH, our players can easily deposit cash into their Interwetten accounts from familiar locations, giving them unprecedented convenience and flexibility."
Mikhail Ovsepyan, Head of Germany at OKTO, added: "We're glad to partner with Interwetten for the launch of OKTO.CASH in Germany. This partnership underscores our dedication to expanding across the region and beyond while delivering cutting-edge payment solutions that meet the needs of gaming fans. Our goal is to transform the gaming payment experience with unmatched convenience and security."
OKTO's expansion in the German region follows the approval of both OKTO.WALLET and OKTO.CASH by the German Gaming License Authority (GGL) last year.
Embedded into the merchant's app or website, OKTO.CASH provides users with a direct method to upload cash online, eliminating the need for third-party apps. Users can select OKTO.CASH as their payment method, choose the deposit amount and select the nearest location from over 14,000 points to top up their accounts in real-time.
