Philadelphia-based sports betting operator Sporttrade announced Thursday that its Sporttrade iOS App is now live in Virginia, its fifth state. The company says it will offer "a differentiated experience" to players in the Old Dominion, including better prices at higher limits.
"We are incredibly proud to keep the Fall 2024 momentum going with our launch in the Commonwealth," said Alex Kane, Sporttrade Founder and CEO. "There is an appetite for premium betting in Virginia, for significantly better prices at higher limits, for instant in-play betting, and a mobile experience that's sleek and intuitive."
"Sporttrade is becoming the home of in-game betting, where players are able to place and cash out of bets, frictionlessly, as the probabilities shift," said Kane. "Thank you to the Virginia Lottery, thank you to our players, partners, and investors, and most of all, I want to thank the Sporttrade family of employees."

Earlier this month, Sporttrade revealed the addition of SIG Sports Investments Corp. (SIGSports Analytics) as a strategic investor. The partnership is expected to significantly bolster Sporttrade’s market presence by providing liquidity and improved pricing across various sports and contract types.
SIGSports Analytics has already made two investments in Sporttrade, dating back to 2023, and plans to further enhance key markets over the coming months. The partnership aims to create a highly liquid sports betting platform with a focus on delivering best-in-class pricing to high-volume markets.
Earlier in September, Sporttrade launched its app in Arizona, along with strategic partner Quechan Tribe of the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation, California & Arizona. Sporttrade also operates in Iowa and Colorado as a sportsbook and offers exchange wagering in New Jersey.
