Payment solutions expert OKTO has announced a strategic partnership with online gaming platform provider Microgame in Italy. The collaboration extends OKTO's open-loop OKTO.WALLET solution to the PVR (Punto Vendita Ricariche) market, offering Microgame's operator partners "a fully compliant and efficient payment option in line with the latest PVR decree."
Designed with deep market insights, OKTO notes that it's OKTO.WALLET “seamlessly meets the needs of players and operators” by offering a secure, convenient, and regulatory-compliant cash-to-digital payment solution. Certified by iTech Labs and Quinel, the wallet is aligned with the standards of Italy's gaming authority, the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM).
The partnership is set to empower users to easily deposit and withdraw cash at PVR top-up points, while the OKTO Visa Card extends accessibility, enabling users to manage their funds anytime, anywhere. Additionally, PVR operators can expand their cash-to-digital service network, delivering a smooth user experience.
“Several established gaming operators using Microgame's platform are now poised to roll out OKTO.WALLET, further demonstrating their commitment to providing a secure, compliant, and efficient environment to their consumers,” the company stated.
Additionally, the partnership will feature the OKTO.CASH service, OKTO's eVoucher solution, on the Microgame platform. This integration expands cash-to-digital payment options for operators while maximizing the potential of Microgame's capabilities.
Dante Micucci, Country Manager for OKTO Italy, commented: "Our collaboration with Microgame addresses the evolving regulatory landscape and the growing demand for frictionless payments at PVR locations. OKTO.WALLET merges the online and offline worlds, offering operators and players unparalleled convenience and security in a rapidly evolving market.
"As compliance with payment regulations becomes increasingly vital, being prepared is essential for success in the market. OKTO is here to support gaming operators in navigating the new Italian regulations, and we are confident this collaboration will bring unmatched convenience and enhanced experiences to both operators and players."
Marco Castaldo, Microgame CEO, added: "Partnering with OKTO allows us to enhance our services with an advanced payment solution that meets regulatory standards and evolves the overall gaming experience. This collaboration reflects our commitment to providing our operator partners and their players with the most advanced and secure tools available in the market."
Earlier in the month, OKTO launched its OKTO.CASH solution with German iGaming operator Interwetten. According to the company, the strategic collaboration represents "a key milestone" for OKTO, expanding its presence in Germany and solidifying its role as a provider of cash-to-digital solutions for iGaming in Europe and beyond.
