SBC Summit Latin America 2024 opens its doors today and prepares for its last edition at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The event, which runs through October 31, is expected to bring together 4,000 visitors and will include highlights such as a keynote speech by soccer legend René Higuita and a networking party at Chase Stadium, home of Inter Miami.
The summit will explore the latest trends in online gaming and sports betting in Latin America, and will feature a product showroom with more than 70 brands, a conference program and educational panels with more than 200 speakers, as well as numerous networking opportunities.
According to the organizers, SBC Summit Latin America will provide "the perfect environment to capitalize on the boom" of the online gaming market in Latin America. The event will focus on addressing key challenges such as regulatory changes and opportunities such as market expansion, obtaining input from regulators, operators, affiliates, suppliers and industry associations throughout the region.
It is worth noting that this will be the last version of this event, as next year SBC will move the show to Fort Lauderdale, combining SBC Summit Latin America and SBC Summit North America into a new brand, SBC Summit Americas.
The conference, taking place today, Wednesday 30, and tomorrow, Thursday 31, will feature three parallel stages and six educational programs in total, with more than 200 industry leaders and speakers.
The Leaders, Sports Betting and Media, and Affiliates and Advertising sessions will be held today. Tomorrow, the Emerging Markets and Technology; Lotteries, Casino and Online Gaming; and Payments and Compliance panels will take place.
As part of this agenda, keynote speaker René Higuita and Colombian motorsports star Tatiana Calderón will take the stage to talk about the transformative potential of sports sponsorships. For his part, Brazilian Senator Irajá Abreu will outline the key steps and regulatory requirements for operators and stakeholders to apply for and obtain casino licenses in Brazil.
Other key speakers will include Alexandre Fonseca (CEO Brazil, Superbet), Evert Montero Cárdenas (president, Fecoljuegos), Elizabeth Maya Cano (president, Cornazar), German Sarmiento (CEO, Mexbet), Gonzalo Pérez (CEO, Apuesta Total), JD Duarte (CEO, Betcris), João Gerçossimo (CEO, EstrelaBet), Martín García Santillán (general manager, Lotería de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires), Sebastián Salazar (CEO, Estelar Bet) and Xabier Maribona (CEO, Grupo Retabet) will also provide insights into Latin American markets. The full conference program is available here.
On the other hand, the exhibition will bring together more than 70 leading regional and international brands from various sectors showcasing their cutting-edge products, games and services.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with key companies, including platform providers, game developers, payment solution providers, sports betting data analysts, responsible gaming experts and many more.
Some of the main brands exhibiting include Altenar, Aviatrix, BetConstruct, Betcris, Better Collective, Digitain, EveryMatrix, Evolution, Fast Track, iGP, Kaizen Gaming, Logifuture, OKTO, Pragmatic Play and Sportingtech, among others. You can check out the full list of exhibiting brands here.
"We are delighted to bring together such a remarkable list of speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and attendees for the final edition of SBC Summit Latin America at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino," said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC.
"This year's event, with more than 4,000 industry professionals, truly reflects the tremendous growth and innovation that is shaping Latin America's gaming and betting markets. It is a testament to the region's growing influence on the global stage, and we are proud to provide a platform where leaders can share knowledge, forge new partnerships and showcase the latest advances in technology, products and services," he added.
According to the event organizers, networking remains a top priority at SBC Summit Latin America, with multiple opportunities to build connections during the day on the show floor and through exclusive evening events.
The event kicked off yesterday, Tuesday, with an Opening Party at the DAER Day Club, featuring a live DJ set, complimentary drinks and canapés, sponsored by Hub88, EveryMatrix and Amusnet.
One of the most anticipated networking highlights will take place tonight, when participants will visit Lionel Messi's home court, attending the Official Party at Miami's Chase Stadium. This space, sponsored by Sportingtech, Betcris and Pay4Fun, will offer live entertainment, music and complimentary food and beverages.
And to go along with the Halloween celebration, the show will conclude with a Halloween-themed party on Thursday 31 at Entice, inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which will also be another space for networking. At this party, delegates will be able to celebrate the last night of SBC Summit Latam with a live DJ set and complimentary drinks.
With more than 1,300 operator representatives in attendance, including 43% of high-level decision makers, this event promises to be, according to SBC, "an unparalleled platform to foster partnerships and gain insight into the region's growth potential."
