EGT announced it has attained the World Lottery Association (WLA) Security Control Standard: 2020 Level 2 certification. This milestone underscores the company's commitment to maintaining the highest standards in information and operational security, the Bulgarian gaming solutions provider said.
The WLA-SCS:2020 certification ensures the integrity of activities in the lottery and sports betting industries. EGT’s VLT solutions were the focus of the rigorous two-stage certification process.
The first stage involved achieving compliance with ISO/IEC 27001, an international standard for information security management systems, completed at the end of 2023. In the second stage, EGT fulfilled additional lottery-specific security requirements mandated by the WLA.
CEO of EGT Vladimir Dokov said: “This achievement recognizes EGT's commitment to sustainable development. It reaffirms our position as a leader in information security and underscores our ongoing dedication to creating products that meet the criteria of international accrediting institutions.”
Recently, EGT completed a large-scale installation at Caesars Casino in Kinshasa, Congo, in partnership with operator Gaming IQ. The installation marks the largest deployment by EGT in the country to date.
