BetMGM powers Borgata Winter Poker Open 2025 with $5 million in guarantees

The Borgata Winter Poker Open (BWPO), powered by BetMGM, is set to kick off 2025 by featuring $5 million in total guarantees and a packed schedule of 32 main events. Running from January 2 to 16, the tournament promises a blend of online and live poker action.  

For the first time, BetMGM Poker will offer same-day registration through its app, allowing players to secure seats in real-time. Online qualifiers began December 3 exclusively on BetMGM Poker, with buy-ins starting as low as $2.  

Key events include the $100,000 BetMGM Online Hybrid Championship, which starts online on January 5 and concludes with a live final table at the Borgata on January 9. Additionally, the BetMGM Championship Chase on January 9 will award at least 15 seats to the BWPO Championship and entry into the BetMGM Bounty Shootout, a live-streamed event on January 10.  

BetMGM will also stream 11 events live, including the "Big League Live Stream," a single-table tournament featuring MLB alumni and the hosts of Foul Territory, a BetMGM-affiliated baseball show.  
  
This year’s tournament follows BetMGM Poker’s November 2024 merger of player pools in New Jersey and Michigan, creating a larger online poker community.
