The Delano Hotel officially rebranded as the W Las Vegas on Wednesday, completing its transition to become part of the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy.
The non-gaming property's rebranding, located at Mandalay Bay, is part of a long-term licensing agreement between MGM Resorts International and Marriott International established in 2023. The rebranding, first announced in October, will see the transfer of the hotel’s booking and reservation system finalized this week. Exterior signage has already been updated to reflect the new name.
The W Las Vegas is now one of 12 Las Vegas properties in the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy.
The 41-story W Las Vegas boasts 1,117 suites, two restaurants, a spa, a beach club, and the top-floor Skyfall lounge, offering panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip.
Originally opened in 2003 as THEhotel, the property was rebranded as The Delano less than a decade later. MGM and Marriott have hinted at possible renovations for the newly rebranded hotel, but no formal plans have been announced.
The building's exterior lettering near the top was recently updated to display the hotel's new name. While the rebranding marks a new chapter for the property, the potential for renovations could further enhance the hotel’s offerings.
