The year drawing to a close proved a productive one for Acres Manufacturing Company. During 2024, the casino loyalty and technology developer completed a series of milestones and major achievements, including the first deployments of the Foundation HQ casino management system and the launch of new solutions for bonusing and identifying player spending, among other novelties that seek to redefine the land-based casino experience.
As it traditionally does, the company was also present at major exhibitions in the US, including the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention (IGA) in California, and the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas, which Yogonet did a special coverage of. Additionally, Acres continued expanding the market reach of its Cashless Casino solution, now live in over 10 states across the country.
To learn more about what the year meant for the company, Yogonet asked Noah Acres of Acres Manufacturing for his year-end assessment of 2024, in which he also reflected on two major issues gaining importance within the gaming industry.
Looking back at 2024, what are the major takeaways from the past year for Acres?
Our top achievement this year was completing and deploying our casino management system, Foundation HQ. HQ is live in California and Florida and will continue to expand across the country in 2025, fueled by the need for a data-driven personalized experience for every player.
Which issues would you say dominated the conversation this year?
The industry is taking note of abusive players who take advantage of loyalty programs to derive an advantage over the casino. Others abuse the persistence feature on slot machines, to the detriment of the non-professional players casinos aim to serve. There are crucial exploitable loopholes in existing slot and loyalty offerings that cost the industry billions in annual revenues.
What is one major issue that you expect the gaming industry to discuss in the coming 12-month period?
There are too many long lines in casinos! We make players wait in line at the cage, at the player's club, at the box office, at the ATM, and at any other service center seemingly more than any other industry.
Outside of gaming, lines aren't as long anymore. Grocery stores, stadiums, banks, and other sectors all seem to have significantly reduced the amount of time consumers spend waiting in line. The casino industry needs to improve this badly if it hopes to grow its customer base.
