Lottery and gaming solutions provider Skilrock Technologies has reflected on its participation at the recently concluded ICE gaming expo. Held last week, January 20 - 22, the event took place in Barcelona for the first time, following a years-long tenure in London.
Skilrock's Executive Director & CEO, Sujit Lahiry, moderated the session "The Role of Innovation and Technology in African Gaming" at the Growth Markets Seminar. In addition to Lahiry, the panel featured other gaming industry leaders, including:

The seminar delved into key topics shaping the future of digital technologies and iGaming in Africa. Tunji Idowu highlighted the mainstream adoption of digital technologies across the continent. He discussed concocting iGaming platforms customized for the African market and the regulatory collaborations necessary for their success.
Robert Toth shared insights on the growth of iGaming in Africa, shedding light on how digital marketing initiatives can be tweaked to cater to localized demands. Meanwhile, Dmitry Starostenkov touched upon expanding poker beyond traditional iGaming, discussing best practices and the potential for a robust poker network in Africa. He also emphasized the latent demand for localized content.
Albert Climent discussed the transformative impact of cryptocurrencies on the iGaming landscape, while Tunji Idowu restated the significance of large land-based betting setups "that cannot be overlooked." The session also touched upon the regulatory landscape, with both Idowu and Climent advocating to foster the adoption of technology and innovation in the iGaming sector.
Sujit Lahiry, Executive Director & CEO of Skilrock Technologies, moderated the discussion, "ensuring a rich exchange of ideas and strategies among the panelists." He also emphasized the importance of empowering regulators with the right tools and technologies to navigate the evolving African gaming landscape.
