Cordish's Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana to open its doors February 13

The Cordish Companies' Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana is set to open its doors to the public next week. The property's grand opening will be held Thursday, February 13 at 8:00 p.m., pending final approval from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board.

Following a ceremonial VIP ribbon-cutting ceremony and a fireworks display, scheduled to begin at approximately 7:45 p.m., the doors will officially open to unveil the $270+ million facility, featuring the Shreveport-Bossier area's first land-side casino.

Ahead of the grand debut, reservations have been opened for stays at the Live! Hotel, beginning Friday, February 14. Tickets are also available now for the inaugural performances at the property's Live! Event Center.

The first confirmed performances at the Live! Event Center include Grammy-nominated country artist Walker Hayes on February 28, R&B/funk legends The Commodores on March 7, comedian Matt Mathews on March 8 (sold out) and March 9, and country music icon Clint Black (March 29).

The new Live! Casino & Hotel is opening with a range of gaming amenities, including 47,000 square feet of gaming space, more than 1,000 slots and electronic table games, over 40 live-action table games, a dedicated high-limits room, and a sportsbook.

Meanwhile, highlights on the hospitality side include a luxury 12-story, 549-room Live! Hotel with resort-style pool and fitness center, a 31-site RV park with concrete pads and full hook-ups, 30,000 square feet of dining and entertainment options, and an event center featuring 25,000 square feet of customizable meeting space to accommodate groups of 12 to nearly 1,200 guests.

The dining and entertainment options include Sports & Social, a sports bar and restaurant offering an immersive game-watching experience; the PBR Cowboy Bar, which fuses a country western spirit with "first-class hospitality;" Luk Fu, an Asian-themed restaurant featuring the traditional flavors of Southeast Asia; the Prime Rib, a luxurious fine dining concept; and Ridotto Grand Café, featuring a menu of Italian specialties with a Venetian flair.
