California's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon is hosting a job and vendor fair on April 4 and 5 at Bakersfield College as it moves forward with the next phase of construction.

The company plans to hire about 1,000 team members and is seeking candidates of all backgrounds, Chris Kelley, President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon, told BakersfieldNow.

Hard Rock Tejon said it is seeking "passionate, positive, and reliable" individuals to join its workforce.

Additionally, the casino is encouraging applicants of all experience levels, emphasizing opportunities for growth within the organization.

The upcoming phase of the project includes building approximately 400 hotel rooms, multiple dining outlets, and a concert venue for live entertainment.

"We hope that any folks that might be interested in working with us will come out and check us out," Kelley said. "Any vendors or suppliers that are interested, they can come out to the same event."

The group said it is also currently hiring for executive positions. The roles can be found at gotoworkhappy.com.

Hard Rock Tejon is set to become the first resort hotel and casino in Kern County.
