Australian gambling law and regulation conference Regulating the Game has announced David Tsai, Chief Executive Officer of Crown Resorts, as a featured speaker at its 2025 edition. The event will take place at the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour in Sydney from March 10 to 13, 2025.
Tsai’s session will explore critical themes around Crown’s insights into carded play technology, the balance of regulations and compliance with providing an elevated guest experience, and the need for consistent regulations throughout the industry.

David Tsai, appointed as Crown Resorts CEO in October 2024, brings two decades of integrated resorts experience to his leadership role. Joining Crown in December 2022, he initially served as CEO of Crown Perth before stepping into the top position.
Tsai's career includes over 15 years with MGM Resorts International, where he held senior roles, including President of the Midwest Group, overseeing MGM Grand Detroit and MGM Northfield Park. During his tenure, he led large-scale transformations, such as the US$550M redevelopment of the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino into new lifestyle luxury brands Park MGM and NoMad Las Vegas.
He has now overseen integrated resort operations in seven different states in the U.S. and Australia, "showcasing his expertise in strategic and operational leadership across highly regulated jurisdictions."
Earlier in his career, Tsai worked with McKinsey & Company and held senior strategy and finance positions, including serving as Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Analytics for MGM Resorts, overseeing strategy for 15+ integrated resorts across the U.S.
