Dutch footballer Van Der Wiel to participate at AIBC Eurasia in Dubai this week

Legendary Dutch footballer Gregory van der Wiel will make a special appearance at the AIBC Eurasia gaming event taking place this week in Dubai, organizer SiGMA has revealed.

“Thanks to an exciting partnership with Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and as a 1X Affiliate partner, Van Der Wiel will pay a visit to the 1X Affiliate stand on the 24th and 25th of February, engaging with fans and creating unforgettable experiences over two action-packed days,” a press release announces. 

Born in Amsterdam, Van der Wiel is a product of the AFC Ajax youth system. In 2010, he was awarded the Johan Cruyff Award for 'Young Player of the Year' in the Netherlands. He also played for Paris Saint-Germain, Fenerbahçe, Cagliari and Toronto FC.

Football fans and event attendees will have the opportunity to meet Van Der Wiel, get autographs, take photos, and witness the player in action. SiGMA says that his presence at the summit “underscores the strong collaboration” between the sector and the world of sports, bringing football and entertainment together.

On both days Van Der Wiel will also take part in a 1st day draw starting at 3:00, where the former professional footballer will present a prize to one lucky winner. A special signature session where Van Der Wiel will sign exclusive PSG jerseys follows, providing fans with memorabilia to take home with them. 

Towards the end of his visit, guests will be invited to participate in a short photo session at the 1X Affiliate stand. 1X Affiliate is exhibiting as part of the Eurasia event, which is being held at the Festival Arena, in Dubai Festival City.
