Boyd Gaming Corp. has begun land preparation for Cadence Crossing, a new casino project in Henderson, Nevada, set to replace Jokers Wild Casino on Boulder Highway. The company plans to break ground on April 3, 2025, with the casino expected to open by mid-2026.
Cadence Crossing will feature 450 slot machines and multiple dining options. As the Cadence master-planned community continues to expand, Boyd is considering future phases that may include a hotel, additional gaming options, and other amenities.
"As our company marks our 50th year serving the Las Vegas Valley, we are excited to begin our latest investment in the southern Nevada community," said Boyd Gaming President and CEO Keith Smith.
“Cadence is one of the fastest-growing master-planned communities in the nation, and we look forward to providing our neighbors with a modern and compelling gaming entertainment experience when Cadence Crossing Casino opens its doors in mid-2026,” Smith added.
Boyd Gaming currently operates 28 properties across 11 states, including three casinos in downtown Las Vegas and seven locals-focused casinos in the Las Vegas Valley. The company’s Eastside Cannery property, located north of the Cadence site, has remained closed since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
