SBC Summit Rio kicks off with focus on gambling regulation and industry trends

Riocentro opened its doors this Wednesday, February 26 to host the first day of exhibitions and conferences of SBC Summit Rio. The organization expects an audience of 15,000 people, including entrepreneurs, executives, regulators, authorities, investors, and others interested in the gaming industry.

Around 400 exhibiting companies will be present in what is considered the first major event held in Brazil after the entry into force of the online gaming regulatory framework. In addition, some 250 speakers will participate in round tables on regulation, legalization of land-based casinos, responsible gaming, municipal and state lotteries, affiliates, payment methods, and e-sports, among other topics.

The event begins at 10:45 a.m. (Brasilia time), with an outstanding lineup of speakers: former player Bebeto, world champion with the Brazilian national soccer team in 1994, will speak about leadership and success in sports. 

Irajá Silvestre

At 11:20 a.m., another panel that will also attract the attention of attendees will bring together Senator Irajá Silvestre (rapporteur of the bill legalizing casinos, bingos and Jogo do Bicho), Carolina Yumi de Souza (undersecretary of Prizes and Bets of the Ministry of Finance), Daniela Olimpio (undersecretary of Betting Authorization of the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets) and Ana Barbara Teixeira (consultant of the National Association of Gaming and Lotteries - ANJL).

Among the novelties of the second edition of SBC Summit Rio are the Payment Expert Summit (with lectures focused on payment methods), the Affiliate Leaders Summit (for the affiliate sector), and the Influencer Academy (focused on marketing and influencers).

As this is the first event in the country since regulation, we have created the agenda to offer real and practical insight, whether you are planning to enter the market or have already taken the first steps," said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC.
