The MLB's Athletics on Thursday unveiled updated renderings of their new stadium on the Las Vegas strip, providing the most detailed look yet at the proposed $1.75 billion ballpark.

The new images, shared during a Las Vegas Stadium Authority meeting at the Las Vegas Convention Center, feature new design elements, including home and visitor bullpens stacked beyond the left-field wall and the closest seats to the field of any Major League Baseball stadium

The stadium, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) and HNTB, is slated to break ground at some point during the second quarter of 2025, likely June. The 33,000-seat venue will be built on the former Tropicana site, with completion aimed for Opening Day in 2028.

The Athletics, who are temporarily relocating to Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento for the next three seasons, finalized agreements on lease, non-relocation, development, and community benefits with the Las Vegas Stadium Authority in December 2024.

In anticipation of their move, the A’s are hosting several community events in Southern Nevada surrounding their two-game exhibition series against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Las Vegas Ballpark on March 8-9. The events include Little League opening day ceremonies, school visits, and a fan pregame party in Downtown Summerlin.

A’s manager Mark Kotsay noted the unique atmosphere surrounding the team’s transition to Las Vegas. “There’s a different buzz and a different excitement. There’s a lot of activity going on leading up to it," he said. "The A’s have done a nice job of getting into the community and honoring quite a few Little Leagues. … There’s definitely a different energy about this trip.”

In addition to live events, the A’s announced a new broadcast partnership with iHeartMedia’s 95.5 KWNR FM The Bull HD2 in Las Vegas. The station will carry all A’s Spring Training, regular season, and potential playoff games, along with pre- and postgame shows as part of the A’s Cast programming.
