The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) will hold public hearings in early April on the renewal of two casino licenses.
The hearing for Mountview Thoroughbred Racing Association, which runs Hollywood Casino Morgantown in Berks County, is set for Wednesday, April 2. The hearing for Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, operator of Parx Casino in Berks County, will follow on Thursday, April 3.
Both hearings are open to the public. Citizens, public officials, and community organizations are encouraged to attend and share their views, either by speaking at the hearing or submitting written testimony.
Anyone interested in participating must register through the PGCB website.
Recently, the PGCB approved two consent agreements, issuing $81,575 in fines against PID, LLC, operator of Presque Isle Downs & Casino. PID was fined $50,000 for not maintaining the required number of active slot machines and $31,575 for failing to submit a Principal License application on time.
The board also added three people to its Involuntary Exclusion List for leaving minors unattended while gambling. These individuals are now banned from all Pennsylvania casinos, regulated online betting sites, and VGT locations.
