The Canadian Gaming Summit 2025, the country’s largest gaming and betting industry event, will return to Toronto from June 17-19, bringing together industry leaders, regulators, and innovators to discuss the evolving landscape of gaming in Canada.
Now in its 28th edition, the summit at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre is expected to attract 3,000 professionals, including 1,000 operators, 200 affiliates, 150 expert speakers, and 75 exhibitors. Key topics on the agenda include regulatory changes, emerging technologies, and market expansion, with a particular emphasis on the role of provincial regulators and First Nations gaming leaders.
“The Canadian Gaming Summit continues to evolve as the premier gathering for industry leaders across the country,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC. “From the latest innovations to critical policy debates, we’re bringing together the brightest minds to drive the industry forward.”
The summit will explore political and regulatory developments, including:
• Bill S-269 and its implications for gaming regulation
• Ontario Court of Appeal rulings affecting the market
• New advertising restrictions impacting operators
Sessions on responsible gambling and consumer protection will cover key topics such as the effectiveness of self-exclusion measures, the role of AI-driven technologies in player protection, and the unintended consequences of regulatory policies.
The conference will also spotlight betting and casino innovation, covering topics like micro-betting trends, omnichannel casino strategies, and the future of online gambling in Alberta.
Panels on First Nations gaming, digital payment innovations, and affiliate revenue models will examine new opportunities for growth in Canada’s regulated gaming sector.
Building on the success of previous years, the Crown Corporation Lounge will return, providing a dedicated space for provincial gaming authorities and state-run operators to collaborate on policy and innovation.
A major change this year is the full integration of the Player Protection Symposium into the main conference on June 19, ensuring greater participation in discussions on player safety and responsible gaming.
The new Cybersecurity Symposium will tackle digital threats in gaming, focusing on emerging risks, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and strategies to protect Canada’s gaming ecosystem.
The summit will also offer networking opportunities, including two major evening events:
• Opening Party at RS Sports Bar (June 17) – A casual setting for early networking.
• Exclusive networking night at the Hockey Hall of Fame (June 18) – A venue celebrating Canada’s deep hockey heritage.
