The Rendezvous Casino in Brighton Marina has temporarily closed as Metropolitan Gaming Group undertakes a comprehensive review of its financial viability. The decision follows concerns over the casino’s long-term sustainability, prompting an assessment of its future operations.

The casino, which has been a fixture in Brighton for over 20 years, is known for its Vegas-style gaming offering, featuring a variety of casino games, a poker room, dining options, and entertainment. Since opening in 2003, the venue has provided employment opportunities for locals and has been part of the UK’s largest casino complex.

In a statement, Metropolitan Gaming confirmed the temporary closure and stated its plan of supporting employees while evaluating the casino’s prospects.

We have made the decision to temporarily close the Rendezvous Casino in Brighton Marina while we conduct a comprehensive review of the business and evaluate its long-term financial viability," the operator said. "During this period, our primary focus is on providing support to our colleagues at the Brighton venue as we explore every opportunity for its long-term success.”

The company reassured that all other Metropolitan Gaming venues across the UK remain open and fully operational. The review process aims to determine the best course of action for the Brighton casino, though no timeline has been provided for when a final decision will be made.
