Light & Wonder is shutting down its Michigan operations, resulting in nearly 100 job losses, according to a report by MLive.
The casino gaming company filed a notice with the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, stating it will lay off 92 employees when it closes its facility at 22630 Haggerty Road in Farmington Hills.
The layoffs are scheduled to begin on April 27.
According to the company’s notice, affected positions include managers, trainers, and supervisors, though the majority of job cuts—54 in total—will impact entry operators and game show presenters.
The workers affected by the closure are not represented by a union, and no employees have bumping rights, meaning they cannot displace other workers to retain employment.
LNW Gaming has not yet issued a public statement regarding the closure or layoffs and did not immediately respond to requests for comment, according to MLive.
