Allwyn, the operator of the UK National Lottery and majority stakeholder in Greek betting firm Novibet, reported a 12% increase in full-year revenue for 2024, reaching €8.8 billion ($9.59 billion), up from €7.9 billion ($8.61 billion) the previous year.

In its latest trading update, released ahead of full-year results due on March 21, the company also announced a 10% rise in fourth-quarter revenue, climbing to €2.4 billion ($2.62 billion) from €2.2 billion ($2.40 billion) in Q4 2023.

Adjusted EBITDA also showed solid gains, up 12% in Q4 to €437 million ($476.54 million), while full-year EBITDA rose 4% to €1.54 billion ($1.68 billion).

2024 was another year of record financial performance and strategic progress, as we continued to execute our growth strategies successfully,” said Robert Chvatal, Allwyn CEO.

The company has significantly expanded its footprint as a leading lottery and gaming operator over the last few years. Its diverse portfolio includes the Czech Republic’s SAZKA, Greece and Cyprus’ OPAP, the Austrian Lotteries, and the UK National Lottery.

Allwyn took control of the UK lottery in February 2024, following its successful bid for a 10-year license, unseating long-time operator Camelot UK in a competitive tender process. Allwyn later acquired Camelot to consolidate its position.

In addition to its lottery operations, Allwyn has been expanding into the sports betting sector. The company concluded 2024 with an agreement to acquire a 51% stake in Logflex MT Holding Limited, Novibet’s parent company, on December 30.

Allwyn’s strategic acquisitions in 2024 also included a 70% interest in Instant Win Gaming, completed in September, which Chvatal described as part of a broader strategy to selectively acquire businesses that enhance the group’s product offerings, technology, and content.

The new year has started well, and Allwyn is well positioned for 2025 and for the next chapters of its growth story,” added Chvatal.

Moreover, the company is also exploring high-profile partnerships, including a collaboration with the Formula One team McLaren, as it seeks to boost its presence in the sports sector.
