The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has ordered 10 illegal offshore gambling sites to stop operating in the state. The sites, owned by Belize-based Apex Dynamics Ltd., were offering unlicensed casino-style games to Michigan residents.
The unlicensed operators ordered to halt their illegal casino-style gaming services in Michigan include Aladdin’s Gold Casino, All Star Slots, Buzz Luck, Club World Casinos, CryptoReels, High Noon, Lucky Red Casino, Manhattan Slots Casino, ReelSpin Casino, and Slotter Casino.
Investigations revealed that these offshore operators violated multiple Michigan state laws, including the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and the Michigan Penal Code.
Despite offering payment options such as Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, and cryptocurrency, illegal sites impose restrictive withdrawal conditions. In many cases, players are required to wager their initial deposits multiple times before gaining access to their winnings.
The MGCB has given the operators 14 days from the date of receipt of their cease-and-desist letters to shut down their services in Michigan. Failure to comply will result in further legal action in collaboration with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office.
“The Gaming Control Board’s relentless dedication to maintaining the integrity of Michigan’s gaming industry drives our efforts,” said MGCB Executive Director Henry Williams. “We will continue to take strong action to shut down illegal operations that undermine trust in Michigan’s legal gaming system.”
The board further urges Michigan residents to exercise caution when engaging in online gaming. To confirm whether an online casino is licensed, players can visit the official MGCB website at Michigan.gov/MGCB, which features a list of authorized internet gaming providers.
