Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana raked in $7.42 million in revenue within its first 16 days of operation, following its launch on February 13, according to the Louisiana Gaming Control Board.
While Live! Casino’s entry did not impact the adjusted gross revenue of Bossier City’s Margaritaville and Boomtown casinos, it did take a toll on Horseshoe Casino’s earnings, KTAL News reported.
Margaritaville earned $14.73 million in February, up 5% from January’s $14.03 million, as per data from the Louisiana State Police. Boomtown saw an even larger percentage jump, reporting $3.57 million in February revenue, up 7% from January’s $3.34 million.
Horseshoe Casino, however, experienced a notable decline, with revenue dropping 13.4% from $9.87 million in January to $8.55 million in February.
Across the river in Shreveport, Bally’s Casino also saw a dip, reporting $8.25 million in revenue for February—a 6.2% decrease from January’s $8.79 million.
Despite the added competition, Sam’s Town saw a boost, bringing in $3.04 million—a 16.5% increase from January’s $2.61 million.
Overall, the Shreveport-Bossier casino market saw year-over-year growth in February, thanks to Live! Casino’s arrival. The new venue helped push total market revenue to $45.58 million, up 3.1% from February 2024’s $44.21 million.
However, when compared to February 2024, all five existing casinos—Boomtown, Bally’s, Horseshoe, Sam’s Town, and Margaritaville—reported double-digit revenue declines in February 2025.
Live! Casino has also drawn plenty of visitors since opening. It led the market in total admissions for February with 96,675 guests. Bally’s followed with 90,917, then Margaritaville with 82,469, Horseshoe with 63,019, Boomtown with 40,758, and Sam’s Town with 32,789.
