The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has placed 19 individuals on its Involuntary Exclusion Lists, prohibiting them from gambling at casinos, regulated online betting sites, and Video Gaming Terminal (VGT) locations across the state. This brings the total number of excluded individuals to 1,363.
Among those placed on the Casino Involuntary Exclusion List were two individuals who left minors unattended while gambling in casinos. One case involved a male patron who left two children, ages 8 and 13, in a vehicle for 52 minutes while gambling at Valley Forge Resort Casino. Another case involved a female patron who left an 8-year-old alone in a hotel room at Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia for over an hour while playing slot machines.
The PGCB reiterated that leaving minors unattended at casinos is dangerous and strictly prohibited. To raise awareness, the regulator continues to promote its “Don’t Gamble with Kids” campaign.
Of the other 19 individuals, eight were banned for criminal activity and nine were added to the Involuntary Interactive Gaming List for online gambling fraud.
Besides adding new individuals to the list, the board also denied a request for removal from the exclusion list by a female patron who, in 2022, left three minors, ages 10, 14, and 15, unattended in a vehicle for 1 hour and 41 minutes while she gambled at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course.
The board also approved a $10,000 fine against Washington Trotting Association LLC, operator of Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, and Sports Information Services Limited (Kambi), a sports wagering operator in Pennsylvania. The fine was issued for permitting an individual to place 35 past-posted sports wagers at kiosks inside the casino.
The next PGCB meeting is at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Strawberry Square Complex in Harrisburg.
