The MARE BALTICUM Gaming & TECH Summit 2025, taking place in Vilnius on May 27–28, is rolling out a new format designed to "enhance engagement, personalize learning, and better reflect the fast-moving worlds of iGaming, fintech, blockchain, and artificial intelligence," according to a press release.

In its latest edition, the summit is embracing a multi-room setup, dedicated content tracks, and hands-on workshops, "turning the traditional conference format on its head." With an expected audience of up to 200 participants and a lineup of 60 expert speakers, MARE BALTICUM 2025 promises to deliver "its most focused and dynamic experience yet," according to the organizers.

"We’re incredibly excited about the 2025 edition of MARE BALTICUM. After years of refining the summit experience, this year marks a bold evolution, not just in content but in how we engage our community. The new two-room format and the introduction of HIPTHER Academy workshops are just the beginning. We’re also testing something completely new behind the scenes—a method we believe could redefine how conferences deliver value. If it works, it’s going to change everything," commented Zoltan Tűndik, Co-Founder and Head of Business at HIPTHER.

To give attendees more control over their summit experience, the event will now feature two parallel content rooms, each focusing on a distinct area of industry expertise:

Room 1: Compliance & Regulation Track

Designed for legal minds, regulators, and operations professionals, this room will feature in-depth panel discussions and presentations centered on:

  • Regional and EU-level compliance updates
  • Licensing frameworks across the Baltics, Nordics, and beyond
  • Anti-money laundering (AML) strategies
  • Responsible gaming policies and ESG topics

Room 2: Tech, Innovation & Keynote Track

This room is dedicated to the frontlines of innovation, bringing together developers, product teams, investors, visionaries, and change-makers to explore where tech is heading, not just in iGaming, but across adjacent industries like fintech, blockchain, and AI.

While gaming remains a central pillar of the summit, Room 2 is intentionally not limited to gaming alone. Organizers are creating a space where ideas from multiple sectors converge, inspiring cross-industry collaboration and future-focused thinking.

Key themes and discussion points include:

  • The future of AI and automation in iGaming and beyond
  • Blockchain use cases extend far past cryptocurrency, with real-world applications in identity, transparency, and decentralized infrastructure
  • Fintech innovation both within gaming environments and across broader digital ecosystems
  • Web3 and decentralized platforms redefining ownership and engagement models
  • Startups and investment trends shaping the next wave of disruptive tech
  • Open systems and competition - how companies are creating shared ecosystems where competition and cooperation co-exist. For example:
    • NuxGame’s open approach to affiliates and aggregators.
  • From AI hype back to people-first thinking - what have we learned after a year of over-automating? Who comes first: the tech, or the humans behind and in front of the screen?
  • Differentiation in product and businessis iGaming at risk of becoming too generic? How do we protect uniqueness and deliver real value?

"This format gives participants the opportunity to deep-dive into topics that matter most to them, with the flexibility to explore emerging trends that stretch beyond their immediate niche. Whether you're a tech entrepreneur, product lead, investor, or just curious about where innovation is headed, Room 2 is built for forward thinkers ready to engage, question, and shape the future," the organizers detailed.

In addition to the new room structure, MARE BALTICUM 2025 will quietly test an experimental format innovation, a "secret method" designed to enhance audience engagement and retention during panel sessions. While details remain under wraps for now, early previews suggest this approach could "dramatically reshape how participants interact with speakers and content." If successful, this methodology may be adapted across all future HIPTHER conferences.

Building on the success of the HIPTHER Academy initiative, the 2025 summit will also host up to four intensive workshops, designed to provide:

  • Hands-on learning experiences
  • Skill development sessions
  • Deep knowledge transfer from seasoned experts

Participants in the workshops will receive digital diplomas acknowledging their completion—ideal for adding to LinkedIn profiles, CVs, and professional development portfolios. These sessions will be open to all attendees, but pre-registration may be required due to limited space.

Workshops will cover diverse topics such as:

  • Data protection and cybersecurity in iGaming
  • Building regulatory strategies for new markets
  • Creating future-ready iGaming products
  • UX/UI optimization for player engagement

The summit is set to welcome up to 200 participants from across the Baltics, Nordics, and wider Europe, including:

  • C-level executives and founders
  • Compliance officers and legal advisors
  • Product and platform managers
  • Blockchain entrepreneurs
  • Fintech innovators
  • AI researchers and startup leaders

With 60 speakers confirmed, the content will be rich, relevant, and reflective of the diverse voices shaping the future of these industries.

"Since its inception, the MARE BALTICUM Gaming & TECH Summit has earned a reputation for its boutique atmosphere, curated content, and strategic networking opportunities. Unlike sprawling mega-expos, this event is designed for quality conversations, meaningful insights, and real collaboration," according to the release.

"If you're in gaming, fintech, blockchain, or AI, and you're looking to stay ahead of the curve, MARE BALTICUM 2025 is your event. With a reimagined format, elite speaker lineup, and an agenda focused on impact, it’s an unmissable moment in the 2025 event calendar," the organizers concluded.
