The Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower is boosting its gaming offerings with more player-friendly options.
Last week, the Las Vegas casino added more 3:2 blackjack tables to its main gaming floor, a move designed to enhance player satisfaction, according to Skylar Dice, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the property.
The Strat joins other casinos in Las Vegas pushing back against the trend of 6:5 blackjack tables, which are common on the Strip and downtown and are less favorable to customers, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Off-Strip Palms Casino Resort also introduced a shift to 3:2 tables on Valentine's Day.
In addition to improved blackjack conditions, the Strat also introduced single-zero roulette tables in 2024, offering better odds compared to the widely used double-zero roulette. The Strat is also the only casino on Las Vegas Boulevard offering 10-times odds at its craps tables.
“Loyal guests and customers said that they wanted to see more games that are player-friendly, and we listened to them,” Dice said. “(These changes) really fit into who we are as a company. People are coming here to have a good time. It’s supposed to be fun, and we want to position the Strat as a place where gamers go to game.”
However, Dice noted that the Strat is not completely doing away with 6:5 blackjack or double-zero roulette. “We offer a little bit of everything because there are still players who prefer (those games),” he added.
The Strat is owned by Golden Entertainment Inc., a Nevada-based company with a portfolio of eight casinos and 72 local gaming taverns. Dice highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering a great gaming experience, which allows the Strat to quickly adapt to customer demands.
Earlier this year, off-Strip casino Palms made headlines by eliminating all 6:5 blackjack tables and offering only 3:2 games. The move was well received by players, according to the casino, potentially reflecting a growing trend in the industry toward more favorable gaming options for players.
