Italian Gaming Expo 2025 draws over 1,600 attendees in successful second edition

The second edition of the Italian Gaming Expo & Conference (IGE) successfully concluded last week at the Salone delle Fontane in Rome, drawing over 1,600 participants from 16 countries—a 20% increase from last year.

The event focused on “The Sustainable Future of Gaming” theme, was held on April 9 - 10 and hosted more than 50 sessions, including panels, keynotes, and workshops.

Key figures from the Italian Government, Parliament, and regulatory bodies took part, alongside the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry (Masaf) and the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli, which had a dedicated stand at the event for the first time. Major gaming brands and players from related sectors were also in attendance.

The Italian Gaming Awards (IGA) gala recognized excellence and innovation, with 113 nominations from 69 companies judged by a panel of 19 experts.

"This second edition of IGE marked tangible growth in both numbers and the depth of discussion," said Alessio Crisantemi, President and Co-founder of Gn Media.

One key discussion during the show involved AGCOM, Italy’s communications authority, on potential revisions to advertising bans in the sector, which Crisantemi described as “a step toward clearer and more sustainable regulation.”

Crisantemi also noted that another milestone was a dedicated session on reforming the horse racing industry, with participation from institutional leaders and industry stakeholders.

“This 2025 edition was an edition of great maturity,” said Simona Clarizio, Head of the Italian Gaming Expo & Conference. “We wanted to create an open space for strategic construction, where institutions, operators, and innovators could discuss the future of the sector, offering an opportunity for coordinated discussion between politics and industry.”
