Sportsbook provider Altenar has launched a new World Cup Lobby, a dedicated event hub designed to improve player engagement and streamline navigation during this summer's tournament.
The lobby is built for a World Cup featuring 104 matches across 16 cities. It provides a single curated destination where operators can present all relevant markets, statistics, promotions, and betting options in one place, making it easier for players to discover content during high-volume periods.
The system integrates Altenar’s sportsbook with dedicated widgets and navigation tools tailored for large tournaments. It includes interactive team and player carousels that surface bet cards, markets, and promotions through swipeable feeds. Team and player pages also provide access to statistics, related betting options, and tournament insights.
Additional features include integrated standings, knockout brackets, and outright markets, allowing users to move between matches, teams, players, and betting selections without switching pages.
Operators can localize the lobby by prioritizing specific teams, competitions, and markets for regional audiences. Player behavior data can also be used to surface personalized betting recommendations.
The lobby is designed to be flexible and can be used for other major competitions, allowing operators to run multiple event hubs at the same time.
The launch supports Altenar’s broader focus on personalization and gamification to improve retention and increase conversion through more streamlined user journeys.
Nikos Zygouris, Head of Sportsbook Product at Altenar, said: "Major tournaments such as this year's World Cup create huge engagement and our goal with the new lobby is to build an environment where players can explore everything around the competition in one place.
"The World Cup Lobby brings together markets, statistics, teams and personalised recommendations into a single experience, helping operators to deliver a more intuitive and engaging sportsbook during the biggest moments in the sporting calendar."
