Australia hosts Gaming Regulation training program 

Liquor & Gaming New South Wales (L&GNSW) and UNLV’s International Center for Gaming Regulation (ICGR) conducted the inaugural regulatory program in Sydney earlier this month.

The program was informed by feedback from regulators across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and focused on international best practice in gaming regulation. The course also provided opportunities for participants to share knowledge and learnings from their respective jurisdictions to help improve gaming regulation and collaboration across the Asia-Pacific.

To deliver a tailored program, ICGR sent out a detailed pre-course survey to selected regulatory agencies to better understand their specific training needs.

“UNLV’s (ICGR) has been so honored to be part of this Gaming Regulation program with regulatory representatives from all Australian states, Japan, Singapore, Philippines, Cyprus, and Ireland,” said Jennifer Roberts, Associate Director, UNLV’s International Center for Gaming Regulation. She led a faculty of four who, along with a small number of Australian-based subject matter experts, delivered the program to participants.
