Betcris offers alternative betting options while most sports leagues are shutdown

One of the industries that is having to completely rethink its strategy amid coronavirus global crisis, at least for the near-term, is the gambling industry, and gaming operator Betcris said it is prepared to weather the storm. The company said that, as drastic as the current situation is, gamblers need distractions and want to continue their favorite pastime, so it is stepping up to ensure that bettors have options and a number of prop bets are available.

Betting on sports action tied directly to NBA, MLB and March Madness games may currently be suspended, but there are a number of other offerings that are still available. Betcris has an entire section dedicated to current events, as well as how current events will impact the return of major sports leagues.

For example, gamblers can get a piece of the action on whether or not the Summer Olympics will hold its Opening Ceremony in Tokyo on July 24. Currently, the house favors a change of date, with “No” getting -480 and “Yes” getting +340. If the venue for the ceremony is changed or if the Opening Ceremony is not officially declared, the wager will be invalid.
