Virgin Hotels Las Vegas announced Thursday the property’s grand opening date is January 15, 2021.
At a press event featuring property partners and investors at the porte-cochere, the company said the revitalized property, part of Curio Collection by Hilton, will open as Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on that date, being revealed on a digital mobile billboard.
During his speech, Richard Bosworth, President and CEO of JC Hospitality, owner of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, stressed the resilience of the hospitality, gaming and entertainment industry, the city of Las Vegas as a whole and expressed how he looks forward to bringing employees back to work. “Lightning will strike twice at 4455 Paradise,” he said, according to a news release. He also shared what he is most excited about at the unique property, including the over 1,500 renovated chambers, the upgraded entertainment venues, the high profile food and beverage portfolio, the unique gaming floor and the expanded meeting and convention spaces.

Bosworth also thanked his partners who were on site for the event, including Michael Sacco, Special Assistant to the CEO of Virgin Hotels; Bobby Reynolds, Senior Vice President of AEG Las Vegas; James Beard Award-winning chef Todd English; Joe Hasson, General Manager of Mohegan Sun Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas; Jenna Morton of MB Steak; and Jay Wolf of JC Hospitality.
JC Hospitality, who will operate the Strip property, will occupy the space previously held by the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. The complex will include 60,000 sq. ft. Mohegan Sun Casino, operated by Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment; a five-acre desert pool oasis including a multi-functional event lawn; live music and entertainment theater with 4,500 capacity; a signature showroom accommodating 650 guests; an exclusive portfolio of twelve food and beverage venues.
The highly-anticipated arrival of Virgin Hotels comes as several new resorts are expected to be opening in the coming months including Circa and Resorts World.
