MGM Resorts reports it is adding enhancements to its health and safety plans at its Las Vegas properties to help bring meetings back to Southern Nevada.

Following months of trials, MGM Resorts is adding cutting-edge enhancements to its Convene with Confidence program, designed to get businesses back to doing business in person.

MGM Resorts says it will make rapid on-site COVID-19 testing available to all guests, part of its new effort to bring large meetings back to Las Vegas.

The casino operator announced Wednesday what it calls the "Convene with Confidence" program, saying in-room testing will be part of its health and safety measures.

All guests will be able to receive an in-room test via a partnership with Community Ambulance, according to MGM.

The in-room testing options are available include:

● Standard RT-PCR Test - results in approximately 24 - 72 hours, based on lab availability

● Fast Molecular (NAAT) Test – results in approximately 20 minutes

● Rapid Antigen Test – results in approximately 20 - 30 minutes

Testing appointments can be scheduled by calling guest services, and prices range from $140 to $230.

MGM also says it is offering meeting planners the option for on-site, rapid testing. Partnerships with the companies CLEAR, Cue Health and Impact Health are part of the program.

Under the proposal, attendees would download the CLEAR app to verify the identity and answer a series of health survey questions before entering a venue.

Upon arrival, people would take a molecular or antigen COVID-19 test, and results would become available through the app.

Attendees would then share their results and take an optional temperature check, with users given either a red or green health pass based on the results.

Cue Health would provide a new molecular diagnostic test that received emergency use authorization from the FDA, while Impact Health would administer the tests.

The company says it's also looking into options that would let meeting clients add proof of vaccination in their criteria for attendees.
