Playtech plans to expand its collaboration with the Dutch state-owned Holland Casino, which legally monopolizes the country’s physical gambling space.
In October, the casino will expand online with betting and gaming products.
Playtech was founded in 1999 by Israeli technology and real estate billionaire Teddy Sagi, who said that it has "expanded long-term strategic software and service contracts with Holland Casino is an important strategy for Playtech.” It’s a strategic step, and it’s built on top of it.” A track record of developing a newly regulated online market.”
As part of the deal, Playtech, pursuing expansion in the United States, will build a live casino facility next to the existing location in Holland Casino.
MorWeizer, Playtech Chief Executive Officer, said: “This agreement demonstrates the implementation of our strategy to continue to work with major brands in the world’s most attractive regulated markets."
Weiser added that its purpose is to create “the highest quality and most comprehensive responsible gambling entertainment experience across retailers and online in the Dutch market.”
"The company has high ambitions for new online markets and Playtech is the Netherlands for industry-leading software, marketing, and responsible gambling tools,” stated Erwin van Lambaart, CEO of Holland Casino.
Peelhunt analysts said that the move was “good news from Playtech and added that the deal would continue the sequence of “demonstrating the benefits of a relatively new modular approach to diversifying revenue bases and delivering services.”
